The key to Community Voice Channel's success is the public interest and the involvement of residents in the community. Whether you're interested in television production, hosting, or just expanding your knowledge and skills with contemporary media and cutting edge technology, CVC will provide you with access to the tools you need in pursuing your goals. Below is the state-of-the-art equipment that CVC volunteers can learn to use in order to complete their mission.
Have you ever wanted to make a TV show? Have you ever wanted to learn how they are made?
Here at CVC you can do just that!
With help from our many volunteers, local businesses and a grant from The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, we recently updated our studio from standard definition to 4k UHD. This upgrade helped CVC get back to the forefront of technology, which is a massive benefit to our many current and future volunteers.
Featuring three 4k broadcast cameras and a fully 4k production environment from Blackmagic Design, you are ready for prime time!
CVC is redefining clarity, from SD to 4K. Making your vision come to life with our equipment is our number one priority. Our equipment collection includes everything from professional level cameras, lighting kits, audio gear, and other miscellaneous gear. Individuals must take an in-depth training workshop on the proper use of our equipment in order to make use of it.
Equipment is also available for rent.
CVC offers three editing suites. Each has all the tools you need to edit a project from start to finish. Edit 1 & 2 have custom built high powered Windows machines. Edit 3 has a 2020 Mac Pro. All machines have comparable processing power. Projects are not tied to any one machine. Already have footage? You can come to CVC and learn how to edit for free as long as the end project appears on CVC's TV channel. The main editing software is DaVinci Resolve Studio.
